WHY SOULZEN MATTERS
There comes a moment when a woman realizes the life she’s been carrying no longer fits the life she’s meant to live — when the noise is too loud, her inner truth is too quiet, and something in her knows it’s time to shift. If you’re here, you know that moment.
SoulZen is the space where that shift becomes possible. A sanctuary in the Ohio woods where clarity rises, the nervous system softens, and a woman remembers who she is becoming. A place for stillness, art, honest conversation, and the quiet return of her own voice.
My books, my paintings, and the Reinvention Studio began this work — but it was always meant to live in a space held by land, light, and quiet. SoulZen is created for women because their reinvention requires safety, depth, and emotional spaciousness. And yet, the impact reaches far beyond them. When a woman rises, the people connected to her rise too: families, workplaces, communities, and future generations.
While the core retreats center her experience, SoulZen will eventually open specific workshops and offerings to all genders who value clarity, creativity, and emotional wellbeing. The center begins with her; the ripple belongs to everyone.

WHAT WE'RE CREATING
SoulZen Retreat & Studio will be a small, boutique retreat center on five wooded acres in Ohio — a quiet, intentionally crafted space for art, stillness, identity work, and women’s reinvention. The campus includes three structures: a light-filled Great Hall for circles and workshops, a fully equipped Art Studio for grounded creative clarity, and a three-suite Retreat Wing with shared living space and direct access to nature. Connected by a covered breezeway, these intimate spaces are designed to help women step out of their daily roles and into the next version of themselves. Supporting this project transforms raw land into a sanctuary she can return to again and again.

The Story behind "The Space We Make"
The Space We Make is the official artwork for SoulZen — and it came through me long before I consciously understood what I was building.
Last summer I felt an overwhelming pull to paint this piece. I didn’t know why. I don’t usually paint multiple women. I don’t paint food or candlelight or tables set with intention. But this image insisted on being born. I could feel the presence of it before a single brushstroke hit the canvas.
Only now do I understand that this painting was the first expression of SoulZen.
It’s a gathering of women in a moment of profound presence.
Hands engaged in something delicate and sacred.
Light glowing softly between them.
Beauty held not in perfection, but in connection.
The painting shows what SoulZen is here to create — a place where people come together quietly, intentionally, and with open hearts, to reconnect with themselves and with something deeper than everyday life allows.
For me, this piece is a reminder that when we create space for ourselves
we create space for each other.
We weave beauty, we share light, and we remember who we are.
That is the heart of SoulZen.

TIMELINE
SoulZen is a long-term, intentional project.
Every phase is designed to ensure the retreat center is built sustainably, safely, and with the care this kind of space deserves.
Here’s the high-level timeline for bringing SoulZen to life:
1st — Kickstarter Launch & Pre-Build Preparation
If the campaign is funded, the second half of the year will focus on all the behind-the-scenes work required before we break ground:
- Final architectural and engineering plans
- Contractor bids and scheduling
- Securing materials
- Land clearing and site preparation
This stage ensures that when construction begins, the foundation — both literally and figuratively — is solid.
Spring after funding— Construction Begins (Weather-dependent in Ohio)
This is when SoulZen starts to take physical shape:
- The retreat structure
- The Great Hall for gathering
- The art studio and breezeway
- Utilities, septic, and mechanical systems
- Interior finishes and the details that bring warmth and calm to each space
This is the longest phase, and also the most exciting: the moment when vision becomes structure.
After Built— Soft Opening & Backer Experiences
Once construction reaches completion, we begin:
- Soft opening of SoulZen
- Fulfilling retreat and VIP experiences for Kickstarter backers
- Onboarding a property manager
- Preparing for a full public launch
The retreats will be intentionally small and spacious, allowing the center to open with care and integrity.
