Using Reflection to Create a Life You Love

My deepest hope for anyone who reads Beauty from Chaos is that they’ll start to live a life they love—not just one they’re getting through, but one they’re truly passionate about.

The truth is, so many people are simply surviving. They’re busy, distracted, and chasing goals that might not even align with what they truly want. They see others making tons of money or achieving outward success and think, That must be the answer. If I could just get there, I’d be happy.

But here’s the reality: money doesn’t get you to a life you love. Success, on its own, doesn’t either. The life you love comes from first knowing what truly matters to you—and then building your life around those values. Reflection is how we uncover that truth.

One of the most common things I hear from people is, “I don’t even know what I love.” If that’s where you are, that’s okay. Reflection is a powerful tool for rediscovering your passions and reconnecting with your dreams. Take some time to ask yourself:

What makes me feel most alive?

What would my perfect day look like if there were no limits?

What small step can I take today to bring more joy into my life?

For me, reflection helped me realize that what I value most is freedom. Freedom to choose how I spend my time, to work on things I love, and to connect deeply with my family, friends, and community. Once I had that clarity, everything else fell into place—not because it was easy, but because I was focused on living in alignment with my values.

When you start to reflect on what really matters to you, you’ll begin to see the possibilities for creating a life you love. And the beautiful thing is, once you start living that life, other pieces—like money or recognition—often take care of themselves.

If you’re ready to take that first step, start small. Reflect daily or weekly, and don’t rush the process. It’s not about having all the answers right away; it’s about beginning the journey back to yourself and the life you’re meant to live.
