5 Things to Remember When Everything’s Changing

Change has a way of shaking us. Even when it’s chosen, it can leave us feeling uncertain, restless, or even like we’re unraveling. If you’re in a season of transition — a new chapter, a fresh start, or an unexpected shift — here are five truths to hold close.

1. You’re not broken. You’re in transition.

Just because things feel unfamiliar doesn’t mean something is wrong. You’re not lost — you’re evolving. Growth often looks like unraveling before it feels like clarity. If you feel undone right now, remember: this is not an ending, it’s a beginning.

2. Beauty can be a beginning.

You don’t have to start from scratch or burn everything down to honor your next season. Sometimes, one small piece of intentional beauty — a painting, a flower, a new ritual — is enough to mark the shift. Let beauty become a gentle anchor for what’s next.

3. You don’t need to explain your becoming.

Not everyone will understand the changes you’re making — and that’s okay. This season is sacred. You don’t owe the world an explanation. Let your inner knowing guide the next step, not the opinions around you.

4. You’re allowed to create a space that reflects who you are now.

Your environment tells stories. Sometimes, it keeps telling one you’ve outgrown. You’re allowed to choose art, objects, and rituals that mirror who you’re becoming — not just who you were. Surround yourself with reminders of your growth and courage.

5. You don’t need to earn your next chapter.

There’s no milestone, title, or permission slip required. You’re allowed to rest. Reflect. Begin again. Simply because you exist. Your worth is not in what you achieve, but in who you are.

Closing Reflection

If you’re standing in the in-between, may these truths remind you that change is not something to fear — it’s something to lean into. Transformation doesn’t always feel neat or easy, but it often holds the beauty of becoming.

This is why I create: my art, my book, and my words all serve as companions for women in transition — women like you, navigating chaos and finding beauty in the process.
